I might be a little prejudice about this book. Dr. April Schulte has been my acupuncturist for over 10 years. She has been instrumental in all aspects of my health. She has gotten me through some very low physical and emotional times in my life. In this book, I learned about Dr. Shulte’s personal journey in finding her health. I loved learning about the many aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s so true one needs to take charge of their health and this book explains the many avenues one can accomplish this. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who believes and wants control over their physical , emotional and spiritual life.
I heard about this book at 6:08pm, bought it at 6:10pm, and read it all the way through by 9:10pm. It never ceases to amaze me when people who suffer manage to become supersurvivors and then decide to tell their tale in writing. In the absence of family stories around the campfire, the process memoir as a means to transmit knowledge and wisdom is superb. I learned some valuable truths about my own lifelong health outcomes. Excellent!
I can’t say enough about how Incredible I think Dr. Schulte is! I guess I can say I’m so thankful when my physician suggested I see her, I was desperate enough to make an appointment for acupuncture. (I was terrified of needles!) Using an integrative approach in my health care every aspect of my health has improved, without negative side effects!!!
I truly believe April’s care greatly extended not only the time my Mother had while facing terminal cancer, but more importantly the quality of that time. Acupuncture provided her with pain relief, stress relief, and inner peace. It was an important part of her treatment and she swore by it. April is Truly gifted and this book is a wonderful resource.
