Wow!! Unbelievable!! The worst cook book I have ever or never seen or would ever want to read! No pictures & simple language without any culinary interest whatsoever! Do yourself a favor & strongly avoid. I purchased to match possibly the nuisances of my new Phillips Airfryer, alas just garbage with a nice photo on the cover- the only photo in the entire book. Example: fry chicken for parm, place on marinara, cover with more marinara and a slice of provolone and Parmesan and cook- "perfect cheesy parm"- NOT. .

This was such a hard book for me to rate. I mean, it's full of so many recipes that I think people in general want to make. The food sounds good, the ingredients are readily available, and the directions most of the time are clear. What I don't like is there is not an accompanying photo of the food, and some of the recipes have you using the stove top too. GASP! I feel like if your write an air fryer cookbook, your recipes should only use the air fryer. Maybe I expect too much? Also, I think you're missing a huge market to label this a "Phillips" air fryer cookbook. I have an air fryer, but not a Phillips. You can definitely make these recipes in other air fryers too. The amount of recipes you get is above and beyond, and the quality of recipes I think are superior to other cookbooks by name worthy chefs. I'm looking at you Todd English. I say definitely buy this book, but to the author, please take my suggestions into consideration for your next book.

Lots of good ideas, but this cookbook itself is horrible. I am a semi-experienced home cook who can find his way around the kitchen. Too many recipes in the cookbook are incomplete in their instructions. One said that one ingredient was a 56 ounce chicken breast but never gave instructions regarding cutting the breast up before dredging it and cooking it in the airfryer as tenders. In others, there were ingredients listed for which no instruction for their use was provided in the recipe. In addition, no nutritional information was provided for the recipes--a key attribute for airfryer users in most cases.

I bought this lovely little book because I thought it would be recipes specifically designed for my new Phillips airfyer. WRONG. All three of the recipes I've tried so far start with "preheat the airfryer to 350 degrees". I have the Phillips HD 9230 Digital Airfryer, THERE IS NO 350 DEGREE SETTING!!!. The fryer adjusts in 30 degree increments and goes from 330 degrees to 360 degrees. ALSO, the onion rings recipe that I tried last was not accurate. The recipe calls for 2 onions and 2 eggs. It took 4 eggs to coat 2 large onions. The results of following the recipe can only be described as a barely edible mess.

This cookbook is written for a very large Philips airfryer. I purchased a smaller one and am having to modify portion sizes in order to even get the food in the fryer. Also, most recipes call for setting the fryer at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, but the fryer's digital temp control can not be set at 350. I called Philips to verify that the temperature can be set at 330 degrees, but the next step up is 360. Again, I am having to modify cooking times to adjust to the control limitations. Other than that, the recipes look pretty good.

Disappointing - no pictures or photos included on every recipe, would have been nice how the finish product will look or for presentation.

The cook book contains almost no pictures. The few pictures are poor quality and grainy black and white. My book is missing pages 95 through 134. The cooking directions apply to an older Airfryer model and require the use of "tin foil" with almost every recipe. The newer models do not require "tin foil". As I bought this book as part of a gift, I ended up buying a better one at the local bookstore.Wolf J.

I was unable to read this book, because of the lack of contrast with background and print.

Wow after reading this cookbook I am please with its simplicity. Each recipe is marked with prep time and cook time along with labels for gluten free, vegetarian, etc. No calorie counts but she thought about everything else. Well laid out. If you don't want to go with store bought marinara or chicken stock, the back chapter has full recipes. I love that! I want to make just about all the recipes in this book! Can't wait to try a few. I've had my Dutch oven in storage after my move so I am bringing it from the basement to the kitchen tonight!

First of all, I have to say, I am a Dutch Oven lover! When I have cooked with dutch ovens over coals, there is nothing like the flavor of the food that is cooked this way. Now, move over hot coals, welcome to the beauty of cast iron cookware in the kitchen.There is some good beginning information such as Why Dutch Oven cooking is so great, care and maintenance, how to choose the right equipment and lots of good information to help you with learning this style of cooking.There is the 5- tool kitchen, the 5-ingredient pantry, staples and shopping lists, and then the meat of the book - The Recipes.The book is divided into 10 different chapters:Dutch Oven BasicsBreakfast & BrunchSnacks, Apps & SlidesMains: BeefMains: Chicken & TurkeyMains: Pork & LambMains: Fish & ShellfishMains: VegetarianBreads & DessertsStaples & SaucesThe author has also included the list of the Dirty Dozen & Clean Fifteen foods, Measurement Conversions, and Recipe Index.Some of the recipes just are mouth-watering such as teh Ham, Swiss, Spinach and Mushroom Frittata. One of my favorites is the Roasted Veggie Medley with Brown Butter and Garlic. The recipe only calls ofr Brussels sprouts, broccoli and carrots, but I love this with sweet potatoes, cauliflower, and asparagus. But that is the beauty of the recipes, you can customize them to fit your tastes.Another recipe that is very tasty (but not healthy in any way) is the homemade peach cobbler. Cobblers do very well in dutch oven cooking. Roasts are very good as well, covered with onions, vegetables and stock.The recipes are very easy to follow and they turn out tasting so good! The Chicken Tortellini Soup is very good. It is definitely worth your while to try this book.I did receive a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review. I would highly recommend this cookbook.

Get in my belly! I'm a sucker for easy recipes and I was sold on this cookbook before I ever tried a recipe. 5 ingredients or less? Sign me up! I also have a dutch oven that I have RARELY used, so I was excited to dust it off and try it out again. There are oven 100 recipes in this bad boy and I've already tried out 5. Granted I can't use like half (I'm vegetarian), but the ones I could use were MONEY! They even have a whole vegetarian section (some of which were even vegan)! Besides using the vegetarian section I was able to pull recipes from the breakfast & brunch, snacks, & sides, breads & desserts, and staples & sauces. Options man! Some great recipes include: buttery mashed potatoes with chive, creamy spinach-Parmesan dip, veggie fried rice, savory fried cabbage and noodles, peach cobbler, and cornbread! All in a dutch oven! My only two "complaints" are: lack of pictures and not all recipes are truly 5 ingredients are less. The author doesn't includes seasoning and oils, so some recipes are closer to 10 ingredients. That wouldn't stop me from purchasing this book though! I loved it!

This was a must have for me. I’m not a professional mechanic and this book gave me confidence and ability with simple easy to understand directions on how to repair and maintain my 2004 Yamaha Grizzly 660.

Helped in everyway and is a must if you have a ailing grizz on your hand!

I like this book. I bought a 2006 Grizzly last Fall (2017) and of course there will be some maintenance. This guy covers all the torque requirements and gives you a good idea what you are in for. I like it!

Perfect with great detail on how to access and repair items.

I purchased this manual at the tail end of a major rebuild on my Grizzly. The whole time I had been using the Yamaha service manual which did provide the info I needed however was brutal to navigate and often times would leave out small steps. I have used Clymer Manuals in the past with great success and this one was no different. It provides all the info and pictures you need to do anything and everything to your Grizzly. I highly recommend having one on hand in any scenario whether it be changing fluids to rebuilding the engine.

I'm not much of a mechanic. But armed with this book, I have been able to fix all the problems I was having with my 660. It covers everything, even bodywork. I would highly recommend this book to anyone owning a Grizzly 660.

She speaks honestly about her own struggles with incontinence, prolapse, thyroid dysfunction, and postpartum rage. Through May's truth telling, we feel a kinship and intimacy with her and an invitation to slow down and observe and explore our own relationship with our bodies and the connection between our emotional, physical, and spiritual landscapes, and to emerge with a newfound reverence for it all. Molly Caro May's newest book, Body Full of Stars, gripped me from the first page. Her grace and rawness as she weaves together her personal story with the timeless story of so many women, men, and families, illuminated for me ever more deeply the challenge and beauty of what it means to be human. Written with the most beautiful prose, May invites readers into her own story of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, of body, spirit, heart, and mind while opening space for a conversation that has long been in the shadows. To become a mother, to be a woman, is to own all of our feelings, not just the vibrant shininess of love of having mothered a child. It's also the rage around what is and what has been, and the disassociation from what we knew before. It is a story about courage and truth and compassion. I forced myself to put this book down and wait, because I didn't want it to end. Imagining May putting the pieces of this book, and of her story, together, gives me the willies, as this type of healing, and understanding of a journey, doesn't come easy to many of us. I will read this book again and again.

I found this book to be a good one for women and moms who wrestle with postpartum and feminine anger, depression and anxiety. I have struggled through many things postpartum but not prolapse. I've had mm y own weight, diastasis and mental health issues that made me feel broken. I do find that we have a long way to go when it comes to supporting women and the sacred feminine with regards to pelvic floor health.Tami Kent and her books helped me a great deal through two pregnancies. This book is more personal than instructive. I hope women and moms find it helpful.

I picked up this book as "research", but devoured it, couldn't put it down. So many of the insights resonated from her thoughts of what pregnancy and motherhood would be like in comparison to what it is actually like, to the distance between partners that too often arises out of this thing we think will draw us closer than ever, and especially the female rage. I stuck sticky notes on many of the pages to remember. I cried at least every 3 pages. I think there is so much to gain from this book: a look at our own feminity, making a place for our womanhood in the world, healing out birth stories, questioning why noone talks about common disorders after birth (in this case incontinence, but i find this so true with all maternal mental health issues, as well as sex drive and long term bleeding post birth). So much of womanhood is swept under the rug and once that is acknowledged we can feel entitled to our rage - I know I have. The book calls us to soften our rage rather than act it out again and again. I'd recommend this book to all my mom friends and to any birth worker.May has a poetic way of telling the raw truth. I learned a lot about my own writing by reading this.

Reading this book felt like the last piece in a puzzle clicking into place. There was so much in this book that spoke directly to me and my experience as a new mom, and answered questions that hadn't even completely formed themselves in my mind. The way May wrote about her own experience gave me permission to feel all of my own emotions about being a new mom in the world we live in, and invited me to explore my own relationship with my mom, my grandmothers, and even got me investigating generations further back. Besides barely being able to put the book down --the writing is really beautiful and just carries you along-- the message, the content, filled a hole in the story I was making for myself as a new mom. The book at once feels like a brave shout of a whole, inspired and empowered woman and the most obvious truth you can't believe has never been part of the conversation before.

This book captures the vagaries of the new mother. Threads of life past and future catch up and spin out with disorienting fierceness just when we are most vulnerable. This book let me know and accept my new motherhood 35 years later.

Such an important read for women, mothers, daughters. I could barely put it down!

This is what I needed to hear. I’m moved. Thank you thank you for being so honest. This book is brilliant and brave.

I like this book but for different reasons then "omg it's so great"...I like it because it provides a positive primer while not going to such detail that some theoretical person can read it nodding their head all the time.As a Primer, I would award this 5 stars but as a shelf resource I would give this 3.5 (hence the 4 start rating. I have noticed that the wording is not well edited and thus you have to re-read and fact check certain paragraphs. The code relies on you knowing and understanding libraries well. If you do not, get ready for some homework (which lets face it, you are programming an AVR, you HAVE TO KNOW libraries. You will also be required to understand AVR register programming such as the book does not teach well. Reference datasheets for the chip you are using. Ex: [search for the Atmel 328P COMPLETE datasheet (not the summary) on google] Also,...The book is consistently inconsistent. The author even notes in a few places that this is done on purpose to force a reader into studying outside material. Google comes in handy here and it is not a deal breaker. Again, Elliot is pushing you to use the internet instead of spoon feeding you literally everything. If you have determination and staying power and know how to work through these types of books and speedbumps found there-in, then go get it. If you are looking for a primer that will introduce you to the lingo and various use subjects, go get it. If you expect this to be a single source reference, think again!

If you are past the beginner stages with Arduino and want to play closer to the hardware, or work with Atmel's AVR family chips stand-alone on a breadboard rather than in an Arduino, this is the book for you! Unlike another book I got for that purpose, this one is well written, easy to follow, and appears to have actually been written and edited by competent folks. I've found very few typos, and none that interfered with understanding. The concepts are well explained and presented in a rational order. This may be heavy going if you've never programmed a microcontroller, don't know what a register is, or aren't familiar with binary math or Boolean logic, but the book does explain these to an extent if you haven't run into them before. You'll want the AVR data sheet for reference too (free download, link in the book)...the book has the info required for the projects described, but being able to put that in context with the rest of the processor description is useful...especially if you want to try things not explicitly covered in the book.

I have read the reviews on this book and have seen a variation of opinions. What seems to drive the rating is how well the reader’s expectation of the book matched the experience. I love this book and give it 5 stars because of how I use the book; my expectation and my experience was a match. Make sure you have the proper expectation and you will be happy with this book.Let me start by saying it is my opinion that this book is not for the beginner. If you do not have programming experience, or you have not experimented with electronic circuits or you do not know C this book is not for you (yet). Start with a simple Arduino Uno, buy a kit and get a beginner’s books. I highly recommend books by Simon Monk.I have been coding for 25 years and have been experimenting with electronics since I was eight. I am a hobbyist maker and have written many blogs. I have also written many libraries for a variety of devices and sensors.I have come across the need to have a more finite control over the microcontroller and have more control of performance and timing. If you are familiar enough with the Arduino environment you know that it is suitable for 98% (I made that statistic up but think it is accurate) of the needs makers will come across. But I have come across devices that have such precise timing requirements that I needed to fine tune my code.That’s where this book comes in. I read the datasheets for just about everything I buy. I love to understand every detail of every sensor and microcontroller. Sometimes you uncover “hidden secrets” that you exploit to make your solution exciting and fun. However, this book presents many useful facts about the AVR microcontrollers without the need to dig through the datasheet.The book has given be a much better understanding of the AVR microcontroller as well as added some very useful tools to my bench to solve more complex problems and to write better libraries.I recommend this book to anyone with a medium to advanced level of understanding of AVR programming using the Arduino environment. This book will take your understanding to a much deeper and more advanced level.
